JULIE CARMICHAEL

Carmichael is the founding Partner of Carmichael & Company, a healthcare consultancy focused on strategy, operations and finance. She is recognized as the visionary leader who founded Suburban Health Organization and served as its President & CEO for 19 years before leaving to become System Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer for Ascension St. Vincent (Indiana).

While at Suburban, Carmichael started an off-shore captive insurance company as well as a South Carolina domiciled risk retention group to offer medical malpractice, general liability and medical stop loss to owner hospitals and affiliated physicians. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Stanford University and a Master of Business Administration from Indiana University Kelley School of Business. She is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).
